Saturday 13th March 2027

10am - 3pm

If you’ve ever felt unsure about when to prune, what to cut, or how to keep your roses healthy and flowering well, this hands-on day will give you the confidence to do it properly.

We’ll work directly with roses in the garden, covering the essential skills every gardener needs:

  • How and when to prune different types of roses

  • Simple maintenance to keep plants healthy and under control

  • Understanding why roses fail to thrive and how to fix it

  • Training of shrub and climbing roses

This is a practical course where you’ll actually handle and prune plants yourself, not just watch.

You’ll leave knowing exactly what to do with your own roses throughout the year, with clear, straightforward guidance you can put into practice straight away.

Lunch included.

Warm and waterproof clothing is recommended and clothing that you don’t mind being snagged by thorns.

Course size: 8 people
