Propagation

Saturday 10th October 2026

10am - 3pm

One of the most rewarding skills in gardening is learning how to create new plants from the ones you already have. Plant propagation allows you to fill your garden, replace plants, and share with others, without constantly buying new stock.

Many gardeners assume propagation is complicated or unreliable, but with the right techniques it becomes simple, repeatable, and highly effective.

This is a fully hands-on workshop where you’ll learn by doing, working with real plant material so you can build confidence in every method.

We’ll cover:

  • Taking cuttings

  • Dividing perennials safely and successfully

  • Seed sowing and germination techniques

  • Understanding when and how to propagate different plants

You’ll practise each method during the session and take home plants you’ve propagated yourself.

By the end of the course, you’ll know how to multiply your plants with confidence, reduce the need to buy replacements, and make your garden more abundant over time.

Lunch included.

Warm and waterproof clothing and gloves are recommended.
