Friday 9th April 2027

10am - 3pm

Container gardening allows you to grow plants, flowers, herbs, and even food in small and difficult spaces - but success depends on knowing how to do it properly.

Many people struggle with containers because plants dry out quickly, fail to thrive, or become overcrowded. This hands-on course shows you how to avoid those common problems and create healthy, productive container displays that last.

You’ll learn by doing, working directly with containers and plants so you can build real confidence in your own space.

We’ll cover:

  •  Choosing the right containers for different plants and spaces

  • Soil mixes and composting for container success

  • Planting techniques for strong, healthy growth

  • Watering and feeding methods

  •  Simple design ideas for attractive, productive containers

By the end of the course, you’ll know how to create thriving container displays that look good, grow well, and don’t require constant replacement or costly mistakes.

Lunch included.
