10am - 3pm

Pruning is one of the most important gardening skills - but also one of the most feared. Many gardeners worry about cutting too much, cutting at the wrong time, or damaging their plants.

This practical, hands-on workshop takes away that uncertainty and teaches you how to prune confidently and correctly.

You’ll learn by doing, working with real plants in the garden so you can understand exactly what to cut, why you’re cutting it, and how plants respond.

Working with plants in the garden, we’ll cover among other things:

  • when to prune different plants

  • how to prune, and the different tools that are used

  • how pruning improves plant health and longevity

This is a fully practical course designed for everyday gardeners, no specialist knowledge needed.

By the end of the day, you’ll feel confident pruning a wide range of garden plants without fear or guesswork.

Lunch included.

Warm clothing is recommended as the garden buildings can be cold.
