Resourceful Gardening

Friday 19th March 2027
10am - 3pm
Gardening doesn’t need to be expensive. In fact, most of the costs people face come from simple mistakes - buying the wrong plants, replacing failed plants and spending money on unnecessary plants and gimmicky tools.
This hands-on day course shows you how to take control of your garden and reduce unnecessary spending, while still creating something that looks good and thrives.
We’ll cover:
-
how to choose plants that won’t need replacing
-
simple ways to improve soil without buying expensive products
-
pruning and maintenance skills to avoid costly plant loss
-
how to propagate plants for free replacements
-
seasonal tasks that prevent expensive problems later
You’ll be working directly in the garden, learning practical skills you can use straight away at home.
By the end of the day, you’ll understand how to maintain a healthy garden on a realistic budget—and avoid the common mistakes that cost most gardeners time and money
Lunch included.
